The Department of Health is currently recruiting for two consumers who have previous experience accessing community support services delivered by NGOs, preferably mental health focused.
Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch
The Queensland Department of Health (the Department) provides funding for a range of mental health community support services delivered by non-government organisations (NGO).
Purpose of Reference Group
The Mental Health Community Support Services Procurement Reference Group will provide oversight in the development of key procurement and evaluation documentation, to engage non-government organisations to deliver mental health community support services across Queensland from 1 July 2019. Consumer Role
Your role as a member of the Reference Group and/or Evaluation panel will be to share your experiences of community support services (provided by non-government organisations) to assist the group as part of the procurement and evaluation process. You may also be required to support Evaluation panels who will be assessing offers submitted by non-government organisations interested in delivering mental health community support services in Queensland.
Time and location
You will need to attend up to four reference group meetings, with the first meeting commencing late July 2018 and the last meeting scheduled for late August 2018.
It is intended a tender will be advertised in September 2018, with the evaluation panel sittings to occur between October and December 2018. You may also be required to participate in these sessions however, further information will be provided.</
Remuneration and Support
You will be remunerated in accordance with the Health Consumers Queensland position statement regarding Remuneration and Reimbursement of Consumers. You will be remunerated $187 per meeting and reimbursed for the cost of local travel, phone calls, printing and childcare.
A pre-briefing package will be provided to members prior to the first meeting. Prior to all scheduled meetings, a period of half an hour will be available for you to ask questions and discuss any queries/concerns with the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch staff.
