Are you interested in contributing to a systems approach to improvement of Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs (MHAOD) services?
Have you accessed or cared for someone who has accessed Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs services?
You could help by becoming a member of the MHAOD Safety and Quality Improvement Framework Project Reference Group!
Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch, Queensland Department of Health
The Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch, Office of the Chief Psychiatrist (within the Department of Health) is offering two (2) lived experience representatives the opportunity to participate in the Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drug (MHAOD) Safety and Quality Improvement (S&QI) Framework project by joining the S&QI Framework Project Reference Group (the Reference Group).
Why become a consumer representative on the Reference Group?
Along with other representatives from a broad range of stakeholder groups, you will provide a lived experience perspective to support the function of the Reference Group.
This is an opportunity to share your lived experience as a person with a lived experience of mental health or alcohol and other drug disorders as a – consumer or carer, to influence the development of a statewide S&QI Framework and to ensure the S&QI Framework is sensitive to and driven by needs of consumers of MHAOD services.
The involvement of people with a lived experience in the health system is outlined and defined in the Lived Experience Engagement and Participation Strategy 2018-2021
(see: https://www.health.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0032/812984/leep-strategy.pdf).
