Review the Queensland Home Enteral Nutrition Service
Closing date: 9am, Friday 27 January 2023
Do you have a lived experience or care for someone who accesses home enteral nutrition services (either tube feeding or oral nutrition supplementation) through the Queensland public health system?
The Office of the Chief Allied Health Officer (OCAHO) is partnering with key stakeholders to review the Queensland Health Home Enteral Nutrition Service policy document. The purpose of this policy review is to analyse and evaluate the policy against current best evidence and benchmarking with other states, to allow an in-depth review and revision of the policy. The aim of the project is to deliver a revised policy that aligns with evidence and provides appropriate and clear direction to hospitals and health services to allow them to implement equitable Home Enteral Nutrition Services for all patients throughout Queensland.
The OCAHO seeks two consumer representatives to join a newly established Steering Committee to provide oversight and inform the Home Enteral Nutrition Service (HENS) policy review project. You’ll provide advocacy and advice on the key project activities, consultation planning, and final policy outcomes.
